With a superb mother of pearl-backed painting of "Hotel du Invalides" (Paris, now with tomb of Napoleon), this larger sized scent bottle is in remarkably fine condition for age. Dating early 1800s to perhaps 1860s, it still has its working cork, and the mirror backing is bright and reflective. A little secondary souvenir view in cap in the form of a tiny Stanhope (clear frosted glass with a tiny architectural image also on it, viewed a little like through a tiny telescope or magnifying glass).
Very good to excellent condition for age and type. Set there in the crown of the cork top is a little Stanhope, but the image within is slightly dislodged so I can't tell you what it is. I can see it floating, but it is the single'flaw' notable, really. No even a nip or chip to that thick beveled glass on either side. The painting is perfectly preserved, as well.
